According to the park (via Screamscape), the iconic Mountain Slidewinder water toboggan ride has permanently closed. I have verified with @Dollywood that the Mountain Slidewinder attraction has been retired after 32 years of enjoyable service. Mountain Slidewinder will no doubt be missed by many.
Is there a weight limit for rides at Dollywood?
There are no weight restrictions except for the Zip Line. Some of the rides have a example out in front of it so people can see if they will be able to ride the ride.My husband is a bigger man and never had any problems riding the rides at Dollywood.
Can I bring a backpack into Dollywood?
Yes! You can bring a backpack into the park, they will search it at the gate way, some rides you can ride with a purse, most I do not suggest it, unless you use a fanny pack. They have lockers that you can use at some of the rides, but most have a shelf that you can let your things sit on during the ride.
