Despite the Nooklings’ strong resemblance to Tom Nook, the exact nature of their relationship with him is unclear. Timmy’s Animal Crossing e-Reader card implies that the Nooklings are Tom’s sons or nephews, but in Wild World Nook states that he is not related to them and they are simply his employees.
