Should I fold or stuff my tent?
The logic behind rolling is this: It’s neater. That’s it. There is no practical advantage to it. Tent makers roll their tents simply because it’s easier to build that process into an assembly line than stuffing them.
How do I clean my Big Agnes tent?
Do It:
- In a shower, bath tub or back yard, wet down your tent with warm water.
- Apply tent-specific wash.
- Gently lather your tent with the soap and sponge.
- Rinse it out thoroughly.
- Hang it up to dry.
- When your tent is BONE DRY, fold or stuff your tent, and store in as large of a stuff sack as you can.
Why do you put a tarp under your tent?
Putting some sort of ground cover or tarp under your tent is essential for the durability of your tent and to keep it warm and dry. If the tarp extends too far, even dew will run down the tent walls and collect under your tent. When camping at the beach, don’t put a tarp under the tent, but rather inside the tent.
